I got Pepper in May of 2019. A friend’s son had found a chick, Kathy in a dumpster and rescued her. I went to 4H and got Pepper and Bob to be her friend. The threesome were adorable to watch grow up together.

Bob became broody and hatched a rooster, Chicklet. When Bob died the flock kicked out Pepper after blinding her. I built Pepper her own coop and found her new friends, Adeline and Bobbette who were small bantam chickens.

Pepper passed away today. She had Red as a new friend for over a year. She will be missed.
